Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
No, we supply the domain name and the hosting for you. The domain name and hosting costs are included free of charge for the first year. If you already have a domain name then we can arrange to transfer this for you. If you already have a domain name and hosting then we can use that instead if you would prefer.
How do I get my web site listed on the search engines?
By far the best and most cost effective method in the long term is to have the web site optimised. Waterside designs offer a guaranteed search engine optimisation service.
How can I take payments online?
There are many ways to accept payments online, from the free services such as Pay pal and Google checkout to integrating into your bank. The free services such as pay pal are free to set up but do not necessarily give the best impression. If you want to have your web site integrated into your bank, you will need an internet merchant account and maybe a payment gateway account.

How do I get products onto my web site?
All ecommerce web sites produced by Waterside Designs make use of our content management software. This software allows you to easily add, edit and remove products from your web site instantly from any internet enabled computer.
Do I need terms and conditions on my site?
If you are selling online, you need to clearly state your terms and conditions. These should include delivery, returns and a privacy policy. |
